Recognizing Today's Plans Need A Reset

by Sharon Hassler, Reset Your Day

My plans for today were to be highly productive, to not get distracted. Oh, I would accomplish a lot before the day ended and I would be proud of what I checked off on my "to do" list. Part of today's work included finding more inspiring folks on Twitter and following them. When I ran across Joy Silha (@joysilha), I took a moment to read some of her blog and was struck by a few comments in Notice What Happens... Before What Happens Happens: "I don't make time to exercise... My desk is messy..." Hey, these are problems I struggle with but still I make work the priority. Exercising, organizing, cleaning, those can be put off. Yet, I know clutter diminishes energy and not being physically active diminishes energy, and what makes me most productive? Energy! So, thanks, Joy, for the reminder. I'm resetting my day to take the dogs for a walk and clean my office. Then I can start fresh and truly be in my most productive state.
